Due to the highly efficient and especially robust design the standard compressors have the design features for operation with chlorinated as well as with chlorine free refrigerants. The only difference in case of chlorine free substitutes is the use of Polyol-Ester oils approved by BITZER and a new shaft seal for 2T.2Y to 4N.2Y.

A series of compressors that are shared by HCFCs and chlorine-free HFC refrigerants.

As a result of their exceptionally robust and highly efficient construction, standard compressors are capable of functioning with both chlorinated and chlorine-free refrigerants.

The sole distinction in the case of chlorine-free alternatives is the implementation of BITZER-approved Polyester lubricants and a revised shaft seal for 2T.2Y to 4N.2Y.

Furthermore, an Ammonia (NH) compressor series is provided, which has been optimized specifically for this particular refrigerant.
